Born in Brooklyn, New York. Plays Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards and handles lead and backup vocals. Billy writes, produces and arranges music for himself and others. He has recorded and toured with Hal Melvin and the Blue Notes, The Manhattans, The Crystals, Ace Spectrum, T Hollman Quartet, Tom Browne, Gloria Gaynor, 2 Pac-Shakur, and many other fine artists.
Billy formed Foxx Group 5 years ago. He plays out locally with Bass player, Victor Walker, a new singer "Kevin" has been with us all summer, and always a great drummer on hand. Check out the local gigs on this page. My wife is the sound person for my band, she loves music as much as I do, and has a personal interest in making me and mine sound good. We are professional entertainers.
As a graduate of Brooklyn Academy of Music, BMCC (Music), and Hunter College of Music he comes well prepared to the Ohio Music Scene.
Billy gets his influences from New York and the wonderful mixture of music there, St. Thomas (having many relatives there), and the Orient (he is a long time student of the Martial Arts, a 3rd degree black belt, and spent a few tours in Japan.) Born William A. Pemberton II, first son of a recording doo-wop artist for Mercury Records, who performed as Billy Austin. His dad had a studio in New York and encouraged Billy Jr. to come by as much as he wanted to. He tried to play every instrument, persisting until he "got some kind of music out of it." Billy Jr remembers Billy Sr , and all that he taught him.
At four years old Billy Jr was playing congas so well that his dad went and bought him a trap drum set. From there Billy played Bass, and then Guitar. He likes to play about any instrument now. Playing real and midi instruments, with his own vocals, and other artists here and there, Billy has created the songs you hear on this page. Tish, his engineer and wife, has co-written a few of the songs, contributing midi key board instruments, and lyrics to Caribbean Sea, Danzar, Pour Mon Pere', and a few others. Billy and Tish use Garageband for recording and mixing, and an Apple Macintosh computer in their home studio.

A few have asked questions about the "Dojos" I have been a student of. I train every day on my own. But, of course I needed the instruction and teachings to learn how to train. I have been a student of a few Dojo's, the two I remember most are The World Seido Karate Org. in Manhattan on 23rd St. And, also my first school, the Dojo in Brooklyn, under Master C. K. Kim.
