Spirit was born in the village of Skeldon, Berbice in Guyana. He moved to Georgetown, the Capital of Guyana at an early age. Spirit attended Sacred Heart Primary and North Georgetown High School. In school he always loved to chat and entertain people with freestyling and breakdancing. As a teenager, Abna and Spirit used to beat drums on the Nyabhingi Dama and sit on the back step playing drums and guitar and writing songs. As a youth Ras Abna recorded one of the songs they wrote. When he was 16 Spirit recorded his first song with a friend from school Nigel Brown. They recored at Nelson Fraser Studio in BV. Inspired by the oppurtunity Spirit started building a set from old radio speakers. He used to chat for neighbors and the lady who lived downstairs sent a microphone and a tape recorder from foriegn. This time Spirit join 12 Tribes of Israel and representing Tribe of Zebulun. After he graduated school Spirit performed breakdancing at clubs and shows in a group called the Pop-Lockers. From a youth Spirit has been making Culture chains, called Spirit Portraits, that have been seen on Sister Carol and nuff other massive. In 1996 Spirit came to America and link up with Luchin and Pearl in the Bronx, New York. We formed a group and that's what it is today Lost Survivaz Souljahz. Spirit Portrait Culture Chains are now for sale in Guyana and NYC. Spirit is also a photographer specializing in portraits of struggle and everyday life in the ghetto. His most notable works are two series of photographs, one of the NYC 2005 MTA strike and the NYC 2006 SEIU Rally.RevoLuchin was born near Charlestown, South Carolina. Luchin was always a music lover and began rapping at an early age. He was known around the neighborhood for rapping and freestyling. Luchin attended Georgetown High where he formed a hip hop group called the Sleet Walkerz. In the group he was known for creating song concepts and writing hooks. In 1996 Luchin moved to Harlem and the Bronx NY where he met Spirit. Luchin wirtes straight-forward lyrics based in his experiences of struggle in Babylon. He has collaborated with Jo Black Sekou among others.Reality was born in Harleysville, PA, a town near Philadelphia. She loved performing as a child and was known for performing her own choreography and lyrics. Reality attended Pennridge High and was voted the school's best dancer. As a teenager she studied dance at Philadanco in West Philadelphia and Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. She also was a cast member of a musical and went on a two week tour of West Africa. In 1998 Reality moved to the Bronx New York where she met and joined the Lost Survivaz. Reality has a bachelor's degree from Fordham University in philosophy. She also writes poems, short fiction and essays about the human struggle. She is working a compilation of poems and her best essays include "Suddenly They Were all a Part of My Dance: Race Constructs in American Ballet and Modern Dance" and "Golden Rice:Social Oppression via Genetically Modified Food".Pearl Gates, aka E. Heckstall, was born and raised in Harlem. While on the high school football team, Pearl began writing lyrics and linked up other players who were interested in music. He learned the to play the keyboard through another football player who had taken piano lessons as a child. After graduating Pearl performed at many local and city-wide events and NYC clubs. He linked up with Doc Holiday under whom he learned vocals producing and engineering. Pearl has also worked with Tammy Blaze, Avery Storm, and Leroy Burgess/Soulbrothers Records.Lost Survivaz has been perfecting InI technique as a group for over ten years. InI have performed at SOBs, the Roxy, the Lion's Den, Sugar Bar, and the Bowery Poetry Club. The members of Lost Survivaz appeared in the movie "Crime Partners" as David Little's bodyguards. InI songs, "She Hot", "Good Woman", and "World of Lust" are now jamming on 104.7 MaddRush Radio - www.myspace.com/maddrushbx. "She Hot" first dropped on Madd Rush Radio on May 1 and "Good Woman" on May 15. "She Hot" has played almost everyday since it first dropped.
