JERSEY SHORE ROCK & ROLL With THE PAT RODDY BAND
View my page on AsburyMusician.com
I'm an aspiring Journalist currently covering Asbury Park, New Jersey and The Jersey Shore. I'd like to meet musicans, artists, poets and writers from the area and from all over the world.
I've been a Bruce Springsteen follower since I was very young... have a brother who's 13 yrs older who became a fan in in the 70's... I was born in 74 and by the time I was five was sneaking into his room while he was at college and listening to his records. I think I memorized the words to all of the songs on "Greeting's From Asbury Park" by the time I graduated kindergarten... I have another brother who's only three years older and thought he WAS Bruce Springsteen when we were kids. We used to sit for hours and listen to albums and have contests who could name the most Springsteen songs and who could sing the most words without skipping one. In 84' when Bruce went on his Born In The USA Tour, my sister and her friends got a bunch of tickets to opening night at Giants Stadium. She wanted to take us but the parents said we were too young. Instead she brought us back two sleeveless tee shirts, the one Cortney Cox wore in the Dancing In The Dark video. I think we wore those shirts every day that summer and probably until they fell off. Since then I've seen him several times. The most incredibe show being, closing night at Continental in 99'. After that show, I said if I never saw another concert in my life, I'd die happy. It was that good. So yes, Bruce Springsteen is also someone I'd like to meet.
And at last.. I'll leave you with the wise words of Casey Kasem... "Keep your feet on the ground and keep reachin for the stars!"
