KEITH MONACCHIO THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AT BREWSTERS!

About Me

Well... It all started with me, Cook in the basement of LA Productions discussing the lack of a decent format for all of the talented Singer/Songwriters to perform. What was needed at that time was a venue with an agreeable owner...(enters Norm). Norm Becker and his wife, Donna, owned The Perkatori, a small Coffee house in Wanamassa, NJ. I approached him with this idea and after our first summer playing for this Crowded House we realized it was time to expand. We were first introduced to the Berkeley Carteret's Oak Room in the winter of 2005. We got our larger stage and lights and one of the most important ingredients of the Open Mic scene...alcohol. Located on Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park, the Berk, as it became known to all became a springboard for musicians throught New Jersey. By Summers end we were hosting Singer Songwriter nights with musicians from as far away as England. The word was out. It was the Berk in Asbury Park. All good things must come to an end...And with the sale of the Berk (I would say we brought the resale value up) we have officially become 'The Traveling Open Mic Show'. Our next stint was at 'America's Cup' where we experienced a more relaxed atmosphere...and celebrated our third year together. Together, meaning, all the musicians we had the opportunity to showcase over the years. The 'Cup' however could not hold us for long...a new venue was needed. (The Not yet Famous) Sudsy Mug Saloon in Neptune on 6th Avenue felt like the perfect combination of Coffee House and Bar...small enough for intimacy but we're still able to Rock the Place...With drums and beer back in the picture, we think we've found the perfect setting for the summer of '07. We might just stop travelling for a while.... You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy .COM's MySpace Profile Editor !
