She Just HAD to Say It!!

About Me

Hey ya'll - It's me Lindy Loo and I'm back up on my feet again - Hoo-RAY!!!I'm hosting a NEW monthly show at Banjo Jim's and our first installment will be Thursday, Nov. 6! Kicking things off at 9 p.m. will be the great and growing in rep band, The Dirt Floor Revue with frontman, Scott Dennis!Guitarist and songwriter, Jon Itkin, will perform some of his original songs and also help out my new band which includes Glenn Spivack, David Volano, Matthew Samuel Phillips and Ron Oberlander. We're still searching for our names so message me with any suggestions you may have-so far, The Jakeleg Strutters is out front in the running. But if we choose the name you submit, there will be a prize and a free drink for you that night! How's that for sweetening the pot! We're also thrilled to have Drina Seay on the bill as a soloist and she's also known as our own beloved Banjo Drina!Add to that mix the wonderful and Hank-like Paul Thornton, one of the original members of the legendary band, Godz plus the driving and often political songstylings of the Shit House Lilies with Erin Lyons on lead vocals and Andy Lee on guitar and you might say what a show-Lindy Loo!But just like a Ginsu knife advert - Don't answer yet because we also have the reunion performance of the always great Becky Birmingham Band and it makes this a terrific night to get out of the house. Not to mention the fact that in the 8 p.m. time slot before us is Jamie Lyn Smith and her Red Tail Hawk band and you simply must join us!! There's no cover - just lotsa hat passing and please say Hi! when you come on down! We love you fans! * * * * *
Try the BEST MySpace Editor and MySpace Backgrounds at MySpace Toolbox !I believe honesty is the best policy, but you should never confuse truthfulness with her ugly stepsister, Frankness. I think most of us are far luckier than we think we are. My point of view may be somewhat skewed since I come from a long line of hillbillies and didn't even have indoor plumbing until I was twelve. Everyday I thank the good Lord for my daddy's honky tonk ways because it made him teach me every Ernest Tubb & Hank Williams song he knew, so that he could put me onstage or on a bar with my little wind-up guitar and sing "Walkin' the Floor Over You" while he passed his railroad cap to collect money for his beer. I'm grateful that Life started knockin' me down early so that I learned how to get back up. I'm just a simple hill gal who has found a cubby hole in the NYC&W community. People who love embroidered and rhinestoned costumes and a great two step to a country band. Craftspeople and artists-writers, musicians,
