Honky Tonk Angels

About Me

HONKY TONK ANGELS is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Jamie Lyn, a veterana of the Brooklyn Country music scene, who noticed the abundance of female talent but dearth of recognition for women singer songwriters composing and performing country music with as much proficiency and nerve as the songs of their male colleagues. A country-music traditionalist, Jamie Lyn was raised in rural Ohio by migrant Virginians who brought the music the Appalachian mountain region with them when they moved north. She started this site as a springboard for collaboration among women making country music in the New York City Area. Join the fray.
