My music is hard-hitting with Jazz, Lyrical, Middle Eastern, Balkan, Gypsy and Metal overtones. Through my current work on John Zorn's label 'Tzadik' I have released three records, 'Dance of the Idiots' (2003), 'Mood Swings' (2005) and 'Orobas' (2006).I studied classical piano as a child, switched to drum-kit when I was 15, and was always intrigued with other instruments as well as the drums. About 5 years ago I took upon the accordion as a second instrument, after seeing the Romanian gipsy band 'Taraf de Haidouks' which totally blew my brain.As a performer, playing my music live, I stick with the accordion rather than the drum-kit, which is a huge challenge for me because all my life I was performing as a drummer. My live project is a 5 piece band, accordion, guitar, keys bass and drums. The live set is intense playing a selection of music from my 3 records.My Live band are: Yaron Stavi-Upright and electric bass, Tim Giles-Drums, John Turville-Keys, Jez Franks-Guitar and myself on Accordion.
