About Me

The Warsaw Flowers were formed in early 2007 by James Stewart on guitar and lead vocals, Angus Stewart on bass and backing vocals, Jason Coe on drums and Alister Douglas on a guitar, keys, banjo, melodica and backing vocals.
So far the band have only released a four song demo, which met with good reviews:
“Simple, sweet acoustic indie.” – Rave Magazine“Reminiscent of bands such as Joy Division and The Cure, but the acoustic folk style of the band puts a unique Australian spin on the new wave sound … the success of this album is through the atmosphere contained within it. It is very special when a song can remind you of a place or a moment in time, and this album has that impressive quality.” – TheDwarf.com.au“The Warsaw Flowers write music so freakingly maudlin they make Nick Cave's classic ode to woe "Shiver" sound like the giddy handclap spastic attack of Patience Hodgson; they're that near brilliant and damn near fatal to experience! … The most awesome choice of opening act EVER.” – Spoz’s Rant“This is good, honest indie. It'll get your toe tapping, and if you're not too cynical, might tug at your heart-strings too.” – Vijay Khurana, Triple J One Man's Lament in a Song live at The Singing Gallery...
