About Me

I began my musical journey years ago with the aspirations of becoming an international versatile bassist making and producing the best music I can. I formally began this journey at Texas Southern Universtiy where I was a member of the award-winning TSU Jazz ensemble under the direction of Howard Harris. It was there and many other venues where I developed styles in jazz, funk, r&b, latin, country and gospel music. As a result, I've been able to share the stage with such artists as Marion Meadows, Peter White, Patrice Rushen, Bob Baldwin, Melba Moore, Bobby Lyle, Kim Waters, Kirk Whalum and many others. I also perform with many of Houston's top performers such as Kyle Turner, Althea Rene, Joe Carmouche, Michael Ward, Spellbound, DaCamera of Houston Performing Arts Series, The Calvin Owens Blues Orchestra and the Conrad Johnson Big Band just to name a few. I've been able to share my talents through various recordings, musical productions and festivals across America, Canada, and the Carribean. Additionally, I am currently on staff at two of Houston's largest churches: Windsor Village United Methodist Church and Brookhollow Baptist Church. My journey is also taking me along the educational route. It is here where I am educating the young and the young at heart through private teaching sessions as well as public presentations through group performances. Last but not least, I am a composer, arranger and producer of my own music. I have some pretty cool stuff I'm working on and I'll be sharing it with everybody real soon. So while my journey has taken me many places, I still have many more places to go and a lot more music to make. Therefore I'm not stopping anytime soon because the journey is the cool thing!!!!!
