Opposite Attraction is formed by the dynamic husband and wife duo, Rick Marcel
and Myra Washington from Houston TX. Both began their career as separate entities, searching for something more, then, found each other.For more than obvious reasons the name Opposite Attraction derived from being everything that each other isn't.
Rick Marcel (guitarist, bassist, and vocalist) and Myra Washington (Vocalist, Dancer, and DJ ) together have formed a chemistry beyond their marriage. With strong examples of great performers like
Tina Turner, Gladys Knight, Prince, Sly and the Family Stone, and James Brown they've combined a sound that exudes energy and passion.From the home front to the stage and the studio this pair works as a live band (original and cover), as well as one of the few husband and wife production teams around. As producers they have written, completed and released their 1st album project on Myra entitled "Bad with Names".
