the DVD label Monitorpop
was originally founded 2003 as an offshoot of the Berlin based record label CDHW!
The first product of the new company was the successful DVD edition of the adventures of "Signor Rossi", followed by "La Linea" an animated series, based around the charakter of a choleric stickman by Osvaldo Cavandoli. Followed by the much-lauded DVD Box "Berlin Super 80", the Einstuerzende Neubauten DVD "neubauten on tour.org", the deluxe Monitorpop DVD compilation with interviews, shortfilms and slideshows (Hermann Nitsch, Matthew Herbert, Amos Kollek, Leigh Bowery, Throbbing Gristle and others) or the movies of Amos Kollek, to name just a few.
Upcoming projects contain a documentary about Mark Stewart (formerly The Pop Group) & the Maffia,
The new division of Monitorpop Edition Kröthenhayn with a focus on high qualitiy art-related DVDs, f.e. die Toedliche Doris, Hermann Nitsch as well as a compilation about the Vienna Actionists - will be launched soon.
