CHERISH YESTERDAY.....LIVE TODAY!

About Me

Sophie’s musical journey so far has not been stereotypical to say the least! Her heritage a mixture of Welsh, French, Danish and Irish, she has performed from a young age in musical productions but after being picked from hundreds of children by Midge Ure to perform at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff in 2001 when she was just 11 years old, in the Live Aid event 'Showtime at the Stadium' for BBC Wales, along with acts such as Charlotte Chuch, Atomic Kitten, Steps, Blue and S Club 7, the love affair with singing and performing in public began. Sophie was adamant that she wanted to carve out a career in music

In April (2006) after hearing an advert on Real Radio (105-106fm) for UK Music Week (27th April - 1st May 2006) looking to highlight unsigned homegrown talent, she sent in a demo and the next thing she knew Sophie was being interviewed and her tracks played on air! Her perseverance has led to appearances not only on stage, but also on air, Dave Brookes from Real Radio described her voice as ‘Chocolatie with a hint of claret’ and local newspapers suggested that she has a ‘real future’ (Barry&District News 4/5/06) and could be the ‘next teenage recording starlet’ (South Wales Echo 10/5/06)
Sophie is currently writing more songs & has put a demo CD together with tracks from it being played by Dafydd Du on BBC Radio Cymru and by Adam Court of Bridge FM.
