From the ashes of Red River heavy rock favorites Activator comes el B.They are a bluesy, swampy, rockin and soulful reminder of how music should be: From the heart.This band tells stories that everyone knows with familiar themes and tones while keeping it fresh, palatable and inspiring at the same time.The group began as a project of Singer Jason Patrick Roberts and Guitar player Jason Paul Roberts (yes two Jason Roberts) when they found they enjoyed expressing themselves with just vocals and Acoustic Slide guitar flat picked country style.The focal point of this project is to showcase the vocals of Jason Patrick Roberts and he has answered the call combining sweet falsettos with his trademark low-end purr.Singing songs about the good life, love and all things positive.They put the time in writing songs just the two of them and played BBQs, open mics and the occasional red river show, but soon realized that even though the songs can stand on their own they still had rock roots and needed band: They needed to go electric.So they called upon their old friend from Activator Scott Cerda to man the drum kit who brought not only an edge and his drum skills to the table but also his Songwriting and arranging skills. Mike Howard, whose creative and fresh bass lines bring the whole sound together, rounds the group on Bass.Since filling out the line up the songs have taken on a sound that combines angelic vocals, meandering bass lines, Bonham-inspired drums, and Slide Guitar with Fuzzy Riffs.They play roots rock and roll and even throw in a dash of the blues and soul.
