A Little Slideshow of My Work
I'm Charlotte and I'm an artist & illustrator from Nottingham (UK). I have now been in business as 'Charlotte Thomson Art & Illustration' since November 2005. I have also spent a year working as Gallery Coordinator at VIEW from the Top Gallery (Above Waterstones in the City Centre) and have been involved in the organisation & curation of acclaimed exhibitions such as 'Ooh La La! Burlesque Inspired Art' and 'Danse Macabre'.
The themes of my artwork range from retro pin-up style and low brow art to fairytale and myth and dream inspired artwork. I like to put a different spin on old ideas and im really interested in 40s and 50s films, victorian gothic fiction and advertising so theres a retro and vintage feel to a lot of my work but with a new alternative spin. On my website www.charlottethomson.co.uk you can find information on commissioning original artwork & you can purchase original art and reproduction prints of my existing work. You can also find my full resume/C.V of past work, including original artwork for private collectors, CD cover art for musicians,tattoos, tshirt designs, posters, flyers, logos, website artwork, portraits of people and pets and book illustrations. I create both traditional hand painted/drawn artwork aswell as digitally coloured work.

If you are interested in my work or in commissioning an original piece please dont hesitate to message me. Commission prices start from around 50 british pounds (around 100 US dollars) or the equivalent in your currency. If you are interested in a banner or link exchange with your website get in touch, a selection of my banners are shown above. Also, if you want to add me to your friends I wont turn you down but I do appreciate a message saying hello so I can get to know you! If you use my page to advertise without getting to know me first its likely your message will be deleted.
In my spare time I also collect Batman memorabilia & snowglobes from different countries, play with my kittens, dabble with photography (though only for fun) and shop for vintage clothing, i'm also fond of visiting interesting places around England and spending time with my favourite graphic designer.

Anything by Neil Gaiman,Alan Moore,Harry Harrison & Lemony Snickett. Eleanor Updales 'Montmorency' books. Anything illustrated by Bruce Timm,Dave Mckean,Bernie Wrightson or Neal Adams.

Heroes:
