It doesn’t matter if you’re wrong or if you’re right/
It makes no difference if you’re black or if you’re white/
All men are equal ‘till the victory is won/
No color or religion ever stopped a bullet from a gun/
Out in the fields, the fighting has begun/
Out on the streets, they’re falling one by one/
Out from the skies, a thousand more will die each day/
Death is just a heartbeat away/
It doesn’t matter if you’re left or to the right/
Don’t try to hide behind the cause for which you fight/
There’ll be no prisoners taken when the day is done/
No flag, no uniform ever stopped a bullet from a gun/
Out in the fields, the fighting has begun/
Out in the streets, they’re falling one by one/
Out from the skies, a thousand more will die each day/
Death is just a heartbeat away/
There’s no communication/
No one to take the blame/
The cries of every nation/
They’re falling on deaf ears again/
Out in the fields/
Out in the fields, they are falling one by one/
Out in the fields, no flag has ever stopped a bullet from a gun/
Death is just a heartbeat away/
Out in the fields...//////

Picked up my first punk album, Circle Jerks-Group Sex, back in 1984 and never turned back. Been collecting Punk ever sinse. Been playing guitar for 18 years, and been in bands for the past 13 years. Previous bands include "Mickey & the Bigmouths" from Petaluma, Ca & "One Day War" from Portland, OR.I also Love Northern Soul and old school '60's Ska & Skinhead Reggae. Hip-Hop , particularly revolutionary, militant Hip-Hop, rocks. I love traditional Irish & folk music as well. I was raised on the shit. The bands in my Top 8 all are worth checking out. They are either local unknown bands/DJ's that deserve recognition, or political bands/labels around the country/world whose ideas, philosophies, and politics should be promoted...
Other than books regarding clinical psychology for school, I mostly read books pertaining to sociopolitical issues. For the most part I read subjects dealing with race, class, oppression, anti-fascism, anarchism, Irish history ("How the Irish Became White" by Noel Ignatiev & "Bandit Country: The IRA & South Armagh" by Toby Harnden are two great ones. Tim Pat Coogan has written several great books on Irish history & politics, though they are a bit dry), etc. I think you get the picture. Anything by Mumia Abu-Jamal is great as well. My goal is to blend my political interest with my therapeutic interests...
I think it's time we talked this over /
I think you've taken this too far /
I never wanted to be different /Didn't ask to be nobody's star /
Try to take control of it /
Cos what you see is what you get /
Try to take control of it and not me /You say there's talk of revolution-so what's new? /
You say there's fighting in the air /
You think that I've got the solutions /
But do you really think that's fair? /
Try to take control of it /
Cos what you see is what you get /
Try to take control of it and not me /Don't wanna be nobody's hero /
I don't wanna be nobody's star /
Don't wanna be nobody's hero /
Get up get out be what you are /You think it's time you took me over /
To do what you can't do yourself /
But don't let heroes get your kicks for you /
It's up to you and no one else /
Try to take control of it /
Cos what you see is what you get /
Try to take control of it and you'll see /You think you're nobody, and I have all the fun /
But no one is a nobody, everyone is someone /Be what you are //////----No Body's Hero----
STIFF LITTLE FINGERS..
