The Tubes

The Original Tubes Group LIVE!

About Me

There were two bands from Phoenix, AZ. the Beans and the Red, White, and Blues Band. They both came to San Francisco... some to go to art school and the rest just to get out of the heat. When the RWBB lost their bass player they offered a the gig they had at the Art Institute to the Beans. Sputnik said, hey why not play it together. Bob thought he and Prairie playing together would blow the roof off the place. He was right. They united as the Beans and eventually became the Tubes.

Hi, I'm Anna Spooner and I am the wife of Tubes founder Bill "Sputnik" Spooner . I've created this myspace page to honor one of rocks best, most under appreciated live bands... The Tubes. The shows of the 70s and early 80s are legendary, but it was much more than biting satyrical humor and dancers with electrical tape over there nipples. The music was powerful and compelling, the performance earnest and passionate. Listen to the live tracks and hear for yourself.
