About Me

WELCOME TO PLANET TATAR!!!!!! This is Ben F'in Tatar's myspace page of greatness! Planet TATAR is the PLANET of champions!!!! For who I am..I might like to see MYSELF and others might like to see me as a "CRAZY,intellectual, strong, ENTERTAINMENT-ANGEL!" However, I am so much more than that! Im beyond the paradox of everything and nothing! Labels negate who I am and who I am is much greater than what I do. Who I am is unlimited and infinite.. what I do and accomplish in life is just expressions of my existence. With that said, My name is Ben Tatar and I have lived an awesome life with millions of amazing stories and experiences. I currently work as a Reporter and Interviewer for www.criticalbench.com ! I have enjoyed working for Critical Bench online magazine and helping Critical Bench evolve into what it is today! Today Critical Bench gets 2 million monthly viewers, and has been in the top 50,000 most known websites of all time and it is the NUMBER 1 interview site for strength sports world wide! YEP, I took Critical Bench and helped it evolved into the most known site in the coverage of strength sports.I am also a writer for IRON MAN MAGAZINE and ive been published in magazines since I was 17!! I have also been published in other magazines such as monster muscle and Real Gainz. I do a lot of business with REAL GAINZ here on myspace as well. I am also a writer for INSIDE FITNESS MAGAZINE as I do the Q&A column section!... I also am a photographer for big time fitness and weight lifting events. I also do the Critical Bench fitness model search! MY FUTURE GOAL IS TO WORK FOR ESPN and to continue doing motivational speaking and to keep working towards my PHD! If you would like to get to know me then just contact me. Check out my FREE ebook: http://www.criticalbench.com/samples/50-keys-Ben.pdf

My Interests

Anything that is hard!...anything from hanging out on the lake and on my boat, to my pool, to cliff diving, to travelling all over the world..to interviewing/reporting/ charity work, roller blading, out doors, skiing, jet skiing, constant vacations, to visiting different countries, to cruises, to fitness conventions, to being on TV, to playing sports, weight training, to discussing life, to enjoying life, to kicking ass in life, to being at one with life and to making dreams come true! my interest are unlimited!!!------Of course no matter what you do, as they say in my PIC BELOW:HAHAHAHA!

I'd like to meet:

a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"I love the people I currently know and I LOVE ALL OF MY FRIENDS!! With that said, I like to associate myself around real people, life time friends (loyal),open minded individuals, people who don't get offended easily, people who run deep, WHO CAN TALK ABOUT ANYTHING, silly people and people with a great outlook on life. Also, people who are interested in doing business with me (in the fitness industry/acting industry/ modeling industry, whatever,) and basically whoever because everyone is unique. I like people from anything from crazy riot entertainers to self actualizers and beyond! i see people beyond labels and i get along with just about everyone and I enjoy people who are interesting and who are pure at heart. For relationships, I want a female who is deeeep and intuitive. Who can enjoy doing all kinds of different things as well as nothing. Someone who knows who they are and who is happy with themselves. Someone who is introspective, great looking, wild, exciting, a freak in bed, impressionistic, fit, full of spunk, adventurous and energetic.

Music:

I listen to a lot of everything. All depends what I'm doing as music is when the soul sings to you. Sometimes it's soft songs that birds like to sing! (Sing along with us superstar birds in the pic below!) Other times, I like crazy music that makes you want to just put on a 1 piece 1980s snow mobile suit and dance in the rain!

Movies:

Spring2.mov

..
Here's a video of me bench pressing 100lbs dumbbells in each hand for 30 reps! Keep in mind that before I performed this feat of strength, I was at the gym grabbing the rim of a basketball hoop 30 consecutive times for a plyometric workout. Then when I came home, I benched 300lbs for 3 sets of 10.. And then I did a set of 100lbs dumbbells bench press for 30. So, it's like im benching the 100lbs dumbbells for 60 reps. It was fun! Hope you like the "MEATHEAD" video whether you find it impressive, hysterical, or a combination of both. BenHere's another movie of me. I'm floor pressing 200lbs for 40 reps!!! That is more than most of the NFL lineman can do, and I'm doing the 200lbs for 40 reps at 165lbs body weight in this video!!200lbs floor press for 40 reps!! at 165, with a narrow grip!

Add to My Profile | More VideosMy favorite movie is the movie of my life. What a freakin movie my life has been! Funnier than a comedy, scarier than a scary movie, and happier than a cinderella tale and it has all been real!.. For movies in general, I cant pick a favorite, they always change. I can say though, that I have known crazier freaks than Borat, and my female diva friends are hotter than pam anderson so screw pam's movies! and my UFC friends and some friends from the iron game can kick all the guys from BLOOD SPORTS ass, so my favorite movie is the movie of my life!!

Television:

hopefully my NEXT TV APPEARANCE WILL BE ON OPRAH later this year if I choose to go on.In the past I've been on Fox, channel 6 and channel 9 news and I've even been invited to go onto the TV Show Goodmorning America for my success story and ive been in newspapers all across the country. However, being on TV is just a "social convention". What matters most is the things that you do day to day and how you feel about what you do. Im glad that ive had the opportunities to be on many shows and that i have inspired other members of my family (my brother in particular,) to also be on TV shows all across the country. As far as TV Shows in general are concerned, I don't have time to watch TV. I just watch important playoff games, the UFC and anything that's pretty outrageous. I haven't watched tv shows since Beavis and Butthead, SandBlast, Howard Stern, Springer, spice channel, and the MTV singled out days.. If i watch anything now, it's to entertain or/and educate myself off of YOUTUBE.

Books:

awareness by anthony de mello (he's such a character and the book contains lots of wisdom that hits you hard,) I use to read anything from..Top 10 Everything Books (of facts) to Meeting the Shadow,(anything by jung) Broken Harts: The Life and Death of Owen Hart,(great emotional roller coaster ride) 101 exercises you never heard of (GETs you ahead of the other fitness trainers,) 100 of the best sports debates, Any RUSSIAN STRENGTH training book and any other training book.. i could go on and on.. i read all different kinds of things over the years as i have always been very inquisitive and i have always wanted to grow in as many ways as possible. However, with that said the most important book, is the book of your LIFE!

Heroes:

I think there is a hero in just about everyone. Over the past 25 years, I have seen the true golden essence of both light and shadow within myself and therefore I can see it in others which has allowed the paradox of me to hit synergy and integrate the internal mirror of who I am and get along with most people. As a result of this, so many people are heroes to me for different reasons. With that said, I only have so much room to write, so I will list 7 of my hereos to guide me to where I am now: 1. First of all, my mom, dad, and brother dan are heroes to me for dealing with the craziest kid ever, lol! my parents and brother have given me a life of paradise (a 24/7 vacation of fun), while also pushing me to be the best i can be!! I SWEAR, im living my DREAM! 2. M. Westerdalll from critical bench! Mike's a real person who has had 20 million conversations with me over the past 7 years and for giving me the chance to be a writer. 3) M. Witmer, my friend in strength, iron, and who tells the best stories and who has achieved a lot and who has always inspired me to attaining things that most people have never seen done before and who is as hardcore, interesting and as accomplished as they get. 4) God for giving me the chance to live as me and who gave me the inner genetic strength and perception to realize nothing is what it seems at first glance and there is always more than what it seems and how to overcome ANYTHING to be unconditionally happy with myself no matter what... You know, GENETICS LOADS THE GUN, EXPERIENCE PULLS THE TRIGGER, and i feel as if GOD created an ultimate gun and the ultimate trigger for me! 5) my older mentors Paul H. Katherine D. Don H. Pete L. Jack M. for guiding me as cataylst to integrate my wholeness into one so I could become the best ben that i could become. 6) Rob C. The best man who i worked with and hung out with who was recently killed in a car crash but who is still very much alive and with me to this day. rob was as loved as they get by all!!! 7) MYSELF. As you have to be your own hero before anyone else will save you! 8) Reinie--For being an ultimate blast and sharing a bond with me in ways that nobody else can or ever can come close to sharing with me. 9)All my true and loyal friends u know who u r. 10) and FINALLY, anyone who makes the "Ben Tatar Hall Of Fame," and if you make my hall of fame in the next upcoming months. Im looking for people who are very talented, who are real, who i have a lot of respect for and who are the best of the best. If you make my hall of fame, you're GREAT-- If you're STILL in my HALL OF FAME until the time im 50, or up until the day I die, you will be a HERO to me! SO we'll see who becomes my hero in the end!! It is all who remains in my hall of Fame by the time I am 50.. It should be fun..
