I am 26 years old living in Queens. Its funny how things work, I have been here for almost 8 years. I came down here on a track scholarship and thought I would do my 4 years and leave. However 3 years into my education I had an opportunity to try out with the USA Bobsled team. I spent some time with the team, became national champion in 2004, and then returned to finish my education. I ended up working as graduate assitant at St. Johns...why leave if my masters was being paid for? While finishing my masters in school counseling I was offerd a job as the Program Director of the After-School All Stars of NYC. During the school months I set up after school programs for middles school youth and during the summer I run a camp for 1100 students from NYCHA and DHS. I m not really sure if I want to stay in NYC for the rest of my life. I never did before, but now its become a part of me. I find when I leave and come back it feels like home. I like athletics and had been an athlete my entire life. I like to go out with my friends on the weekends... ok who am I kidding, I like to go out on the weeknights also. I prefer a bar or a lounge over a club any day. I love a good glass of red wine, but usually a glass turns in to a bottle or more! I like rock and oddly enough have grown to like country only since I moved to NYC, go figure.? I have grown to love road trips, as a kid my family lived all over the north east and I was always traveling to see one of my relatives. I love concerts and spend 110% of my disposable income on concerts! Over the past year I have been to Live 3x's, DMB 2x's, Rascall Flatts 3x's, Live Earth, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Farm Aide, and a few more. I guess part of the reason I like concerts so much is because I have 0 musical ability, but at a concert you get some beer in you and everyone is a rock-star!
