The Pathetics

About Me

The Pathetics formed in the summer of 1996 by Dave Strandberg, vocals & guitar, and Rich Lorion, vocals and bass. What began as an outlet for writing catchy and twisted punk songs, soon became a full band with the addition of drummer Chris Arundel. The first of many successful live shows was held at the legendary Sir Morgans Cove in December of 1997. The bands first CD "Not Quite Right" was released in 1999 to very positive reviews-"Not Quite Right is a gem, a collection of a dozen stellar songs that remind you why punk mattered in the first place." -Joe Gagne, The Worcester Pheonix. The Pathetics have been featured on local compilations as well as the Amp Records, Tromaville collaboration- Amp Records Has A Hard-on For Tromaville.com, with 100 of the top punk bands from around the world. For the second disc, Tastes Like Chicken, Rich Scales was brought in on drums, and honorary pathetic and gifted producer, Jim Bain became a permenant member on guitar. After the release of Chicken, Dirty Walter took over on drums and the band contiued its live assault on stage where they're most comfortable, playing with all of the top local acts as well as touring bands such as: the Fleshtones, Real Kids, Gimmicks, Forty-Fives, Manges, Swinging Neckbreakers and more. And now the Pathetics are back with Jeff Staltare on drums, new songs, a CD in the works, and the best live show yet, so we'll see you in the clubs!
