What to say about Dub Flash? To make it short: Dub Flash is a record label, website portal, sound crew and dub family out of Berlin, Germany with a close connection to Joensuu, Finland. It all started with making mixtapes under the name Dieb in Dub Productions (mid 90s).
Since 8th May 1998 the Dub Flash Information Portal , supposed to offer as much info as possible about this great music, is online and after constantly growing, it lead to the founding of the Dub Flash Records label in 2003. The label is mainly an egoistic thing: We release the kind of dub we want to see & hear released. We don't make money with it anyway, so what other reason could there be? ;-)
Dub Flash's mastermind is Ralf aka Dub Rogue. He's assisted by the absolutely nebulous Antti "NGC1977" Mäkeläinen from the Dubby Dog Productions . Other friends help out from time to time. Several vinyl & CD releases have seen the light since 2003 and more should follow from time to time.
Since 2004, the Dub Flash Sound is playing limited DJ sets throughout Europe. 6 gigs per year is the magical number. Depending on time, place and moolah, selector Dub Rogue plays alone, together with operator Dub Pipe from the Cologne Dub Club and sometimes with guest MCs like King David, Freddy Mellow or Puppa J, just to name a few.
Dub Rogue is also working as a producer and musician. He released one experimental dubby album called "Dreams Of A Lost Soul" in 2005 and worked together with several artists like Café Ingwa from Berlin, Blondub Sexy Sound from Israel or Wayne McArthur from England.
