When I'm not busy conducting experiments in deep space dub with the band Zentropia, I can be found frolicking in the Fuchsia Fields, where I always stop to smell the roses, or fuchsia, as it may be.
The worldly surf rock and floating melodies of Fuchsia Fields is a tribute to my wide range of influences. I play all the instruments on the songs; african and middle eastern percussions, traditional Indian instruments such as harmonium and tabla, surf and free jazz riffs escape from my guitar strings, and dare I mention my love of doom metal attributes for the dark bass grooves vining their way through the ethereal musical mix.
The lyrics for the latest release "Magnetism" were from poems I wrote based on song titles from refrigerator magnet creations. This should explain titles like Delicate Spring Wind, Elaborate Beauty and Black Moon Death :)
The final ingredients that make up the Fuchsia Fields philosophy are flowers, hummingbirds, mythology, mysticism, magick, mountain peaks and most of all, love.
I also DJ Thursday nights 7-9 pm PST, spinning dub, dubstep, dancehall, grime, electro, ragga, jungle and experimental tunes on interFace Pirate Radio
