I am here for Dating and Friends

About Me

I"m Pissed off about all of the apathy running rampant in this country. Yet frustrated about how to make change happen! I'm really worried about the degradation of our environment. Pissed at politicians who can't figure out how to even focus on the problems and not the symptoms. Pissed at politicians who are in it for personal gain and not for the overall good of all citizens (not just the rich ones)! I love spending time with my friends and family, taking walks, riding bikes, hiking, and swimming. I'm active in everything I possible can be nationally, and globally, though that is active by means of petitions, letters and other forms that can be practiced locally- pathetic and seemingly ineffective, but hopefully better than nothing. Oh-and... l love fractals! Many would say I'm a bleeding heart, I feel that I'm one of the few out there that actually have blood running through their heart and not the blackness of greed, stupidity, or corruption...

My Interests

Encouraging wildlife corridors, community beautification and habitat naturalization, ENDING sprawl!, encouraging increased quality of life for all- human & nonhuman, gardening, biking, hiking, playing in the SNOW! watching and encouraging Leala every moment I can, rainbow gatherings, politics...

I'd like to meet:

in general- the thinkers, the problem solvers... those who choose to take the wool from their eyes, even though with eyes wide open many things in our world are not so desirable... those who give a rats ass about quality of life (yes, that important aspect of life that many disregard...) and those who remember it is still important to have a good time and enjoy what is around you... those who believe in honor and standing up for each other. f*** those who don't and won't.

Music:

Tribal rhythms, Irish folk, sca, jam, punk, funk, space... Bob Marley, anything by Mickey Hart, Hydra, Tool, Bjork, Sublime, Dead Can Dance, The Dead, Hendrix, Tenacious D, Afro-Celt Sound System, Gorillaz, System of a Down, Drop Kick Murphys, The Cranberries, Perfect Circle, Phish, Zentropia, Fuschia Fields, White Stripes, The Pixies, SNOG, Flogging Molly, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jethro Tull, Ian Anderson, Frank Zappa, Bongwater, Pray for Mojo, Shoe Shine Joe and the Muddy Souls, Cake, Jack Johnson, Foo Fighters, The Pogues, Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, No Doubt...

Movies:

Penn and Teller: Bullshit! Ground Zero

Why aren't the freedom towers built yet? Since I've seen "Boxing Helena" I will sit through nearly anything... though I strongly recommend that you skip this one- I actually felt like I had waisted part of my life sitting through it. Pan's Labyrinth, 300, Hero, City of Lost Children, Delicatessen, Brazil, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Red Violin, Meet the Feebles, Fight Club...

Television:

Agh... the brain sucker... yet I enjoy The Daily Show, the Simpsons, Futurama, Jakers, the adventures of Piggly Winks (a computer animated show on PBS that my daughter likes- it is pretty cool), Family Guy, and limited amount of CNN... I used to really like music videos but I can hardly stand to listen to most of the crap to see any of the good ones...

Books:

Have been reading Zappa's autobiography... It's excellent.
J.R.R. Tolkien: Lord of the Rings. You are
entertaining and imaginative, creating whole
new worlds around yourself. Well loved, you
have a whole league of imitators, none of which
is quite as profound as you are. Stories and
songs give a spark of joy in the middle of your
eternal battle with the forces of evil.

Which literature classic are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

Heroes:

and what about heroines?
