Poor Edward

Two brothers, two guitars and two voices

About Me

English

Poor Edward consists of two brothers from Norway. They have both been writing their own material for some time, but first started writing and performing together in 2006, so they are a quite fresh duo.
This summer they will record their first full length album, and are looking for a record company that truly believes in them.
Poor Edward is named after a Tom Waits song and the brothers are fan of all his music and thought it was a good idea.
Norwegian

"One man, one guitar and the truth" blir fordoblet ved Poor Edward.

Influences:

A ton of great musicians all over the world inspire us, but to mention a few it might be Ben Harper, Ryan Adams, Jose Gonzalez, Nick Cave, Micah P. Hinson, Neil Young, Tom McRae, Bob D., Morrissey, Mike Scott, Anthony and the johnsons, Damien Rice, Nick Drake, Ron Sexsmith, Peter Green, James Taylor and Tom Waits.

We think its quite hard to differ between artists because there are so much great musicians behind every corner.

Sounds Like:

The music can be placed in a americana, folk/roots tradition and classical british singer- / songwriter.

Maybe the listener would be better to make up an opinion about our music, and please post a comment or two. We would like to hear your thoughts.
