We've uncovered a lot of talent in in our quest to support indie bands, and it is our intent to bring it to the attention of everyone who enjoys music. A lot of bands work very hard to get their music heard. We at the CIA hope to provide resources for that very cause and we want everyone to have some fun along the way. We happen to appreciate these unknown talents and their efforts and hope to shed a little light on what they are trying to achieve. We want to help.
Currently we are working with Friends of the Festival on a series of music showcases. The Rising Star Showcase is an effort to shine the spotlight on some of the more diverse artists in the region. The events take place at Rhythm & Brews and spotlight 5 artists and acts wherein industry professionals and the audience judge the bands based on skill, showmanship and more. Top scoring acts from each showcase will compete for over $3000 in cash, studio time, and a music video.
Anually, we conduct the CIA Music Awards, celebrating outstanding achievement in over 30 categories. This year's 7th Annual CIA Music Awards will take place in September. For more information, check out www.ciamusic.com
