Anarchy is for fools and losers!

About Me

This is the OFFICIAL Crankshaft MySpace page. Any other is a follower and poseur.
Crankshaft was/is the original nightmare punk/metal band from the east side of L.A. Started by singer/lyricist Lino Lousy in the late seventies, we first hit vinyl with two tracks on the infamous Sudden Death compilation LP bearing the late legendary Smoke Seven label. Then we got broody with Doug Moody’s Mystic Records , and found our way onto the now ultra-collectible We Got Power, Vol.1: Party or Go Home , We Got Power, Vol. 2: Party Animal , and The Sound of Hollywood, Vol. 3: Copulation LPs. We later slipped away to their Ghettoway sub label to contribute to the classic It Came from Slimey Valley series comps.
Sudden Death has recently been re-released on CD by Puke ’n’ Vomit , and the songs from that are also included on Volume 2 of Bomp! Records ’ Buried Alive series honoring the moribund Smoke Seven label. Mystic has also re-released some of our stuff on their new SuperSeven Presents: Sixty Bands - Party or Go Home comp CD, and Scared Straight , a split CD re-release of the 7" by the group of the same name that includes the entire It Came from Slimey Valley album as bonus trax! These are all available now!
Lino is now serving time in California State Prison, Sacramento . But we still are keeping the dream alive, or should we say, the nightmare?
Hey, you slugs, write to Lino! He’d really appreciate it! PLEASE NOTE THAT HE HAS A NEW ADDRESS:
