About Me

COME SEE GRAVATY OPEN FOR ...
One can always find a loophole in the laws of man, but the laws of God remain intact, unmoved, and constant forever…thus GRAVATY. The duo is comprised of two artists that became friends, best-friends, and later sealed their commitment as husband and wife. Dante and Tia Mitchell, both originally from Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, found each other in the hills of Music City on the historically Black campus of Tennessee State University. There was a mutual respect from each towards the other as their unabashed skill in the art of poetry and spoken word gave them high profiles which extended outward, throughout the city of Nashville to other surrounding parts of the southeast. They are young, but their content, their presence, their confidence exudes a familiar aura…they have indeed been here before. They carry with them the spirit of their ancestors, all those revolutionaries that struggled for a better tomorrow and most importantly, the timeless Word of the one, true , living God. How else would they display such an elite understanding of word-sound-power? Their purposes are combined to provide entertaining enlightenment to the masses that will serve as a catalyst for positive change against the commonalities of society. Such will inspire and motivate minds past the psychological impacts of slavery & colonization to a mental state of freedom through the spirit, which will resonate in every area of life. Gravaty’s Laws of Motion exist to combat the 2nd law of thermodynamics, which is partially a universal law of decay; the ultimate cause of why everything naturally falls apart and disintegrates over time…simply, they are igniting others to move onward and upward, working to make everything better. WORLDWIDE STANDUP!!!
