LIFTING CONSCIOUSNESS 48 HOURS AT A TIME!
Elevate Film Festival is the first ever 48 hour film festival that produces inspiring, positive, and conscious raising films. Our intention is to get creatives thinking in a positive direction and to produce real, compelling films that evoke something powerful in peoples lives.
ELEVATE FESTIVAL of Film and Music is accepting submissions for DIRECTORS, 7-10 page SCREENPLAYS, DOCUMENTARY SUBJECTS, MUSICIANS, CREW, BEHIND THE SCENES CREWS and VOLUNTEERS for our late summer/early fall 2008 festival. All of the projects will be premiered at a major theatre house (2007 was at the KODAK THEATRE) in HOLLYWOOD. Production begins Aug.2008 Go to www.elevatefilmfestival.com for more submission info. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS July 4th 2008. We are open to submissions from all countries.
DIRECTORS
We are looking for experienced and talented directors to direct screenplays, documentaries, and music videos. All directors must have their own equipment and crew especially an editor with their own system. All films are financed by the filmmakers. We will provide a list of places that offer a discount on production materials.
Elevate Films will have non-exclusive rights to your completed film. We can do what we want with it but you can do what you want with it as well.

WRITERS
We are looking for 7-17 page scripts that are in line with the intention for our festival. We aren't aiming for anything religious or airy fairy. We want stories that are real, compelling, and make people think. Some films we consider conscious raising are American Beauty, The Matrix, What the Bleep?, Illusion, and the new film coming out called the Peaceful Warrior. There are so many ideas to explore. We are open to all styles such as comedies, dramas, even action. But please be mindful that the filmmakers only have 48 hours and little to no budget so these can't be high concept films. It's putting your creative juices to the absolute test. Take it on!
There is no entry fee and you can submit as many scripts as you like. If your script is accepted we retain the right to do what we want with it but you are entitled to do what you want with it as well. It's not an exclusive deal. It's a great opportunity for a writer to get their work produced quickly, get recognition, and possibly receive awards and prizes.

MUSICIANS
We need musicians for our new 48 hour music video category. You're video will be made in 48 hours. And screened in front of a live audience. We are looking for musicians who are unique, have a positive vibe and have a powerful message or uplifting feel to there music. We are looking for all types of music. We want world music, rock, soul, everything. The deadline for submissions is July 4 2008 but submit ASAP.

DOCUMENTARY SUBJECTS
We need inspiring stories to be made into documentary shorts. These documentaries will be made in 48 hours. If you know of a local hero, an organization doing great things, an individuals survival story, a subject that brings spiritual or metaphysical awareness to life, or any extraordinary uplifting story that should be brought to the light please contact [email protected].
