About Me

A good Production Designer is a builder of worlds, Part architect, part model maker and part painter. Patricia Lua brings all these skills in creating a world on Film for the Director and the production team. Her career path led into Architecture and even an internship at NASA Ames Research Center before embarking on a path in Film. Credits include genres in Horror, Drama, and Romantic Comedy. Her last Film, “Miss Bertram’s Awakening” sets your heart aflutter in this romantic comedy. “I get an enjoyment and a thrill in creating that world we read on Script.”, says Patricia Lua. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------ Growing up with an Artist as a Mom and an Engineer as a Dad brought many interesting memories in my childhood. My world was colored with creative thought and inventiveness. My mother’s studio was filled with models and my Dads garage was filled with the latest electronic gadgets of the time.It is no wonder how I came to fall in love with Architecture! The merging of both Art and Science! I still do Drafting when asked on both Commercial and Residential buildings. It is this love for our living environment that brought me to production Design.I want to meet creative forward thinking people in both Art, Architecture, Movies and Music.
