Darrah de jour is a native Angeleno (meaning she's from Los Angeles, for all of you beautiful non-Angelenos), who writes, acts, sings and models occasionally.Her written work has been published by Lodestar Quarterly, Alyson Books (My Lover, My Friend), InSightOut Books (ISO), We'Moon (2006), butchdykeboy.com, Doorknobs and BodyPaint (www.iceflow.com), and others. Her poem "All Things Red" will be unveiled in the forthcoming anthology, Desire in Transition.Her monthly editorial column, "Femme in the City," premiered in the July 2006 issue of dot Newsmagazine and can be read online at: www.dotnewsmagazine.com in the Los Angeles section.Darrah was a feature performer in the 'Saturday Evening Cabaret' at Femme2006: Conversations and Explorations in San Francisco(www.femme2006.com).Although originally from California, her countries of origin are Russia, Hungary and France, with fiery Jewish blood. She has performed since a child, at venues such as: The Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center, Boston Playwrights' Theatre, Center for New Words, Gender Crash, Out of the Blue Gallery, with Boston's premier street theater troupe, Dagger, and on West Coast stages, in shows including Ryka Aoki de la Cruz's, Trans/Giving, and Eve Ensler's, The Vagina Monologues, at the DGA in Hollywood.Ms. de jour is also a model for the female-positive clothing and accessory line Pro-Girl (www.pro-girl.com). Currently, she is seeking representation for a novel and auditioning. Sex and the City (Need I say more?) I want to own the DVD collection of The L Word just to catch up! And to own it. I do like "Jenny" no matter what anyone says. Her relationship with Max - now that's debatable...
