Elevate Channel

Greetings, and Welcome to Elevate Channel! I'm your host and program director, Alex Iverson. It's an absolute honor to be a part of this rapidly growing movement known as Elevate. Founded just over a year ago, Elevate Film and Music Festival has gained worldwide recognition for producing works of social and global importance. Elevate Channel was created as a platform to further expose the films that are produced exclusively for the festival.
Television and cinema are the most powerful influences on cultural socialization and therefore our perception of reality. A large percentage of what we call "reality" is learned from what we experience on television. TV has the power to enlighten, inspire and unite, or frighten, depress and divide. Until very recently there was no alternative.
With the combined functions of MySpace and You Tube the power is now in the hands of the people. It is now possible to leave every single viewing experience feeling not just entertained, but uplifted, and energized. Imagine a network where every single program warrants the time invested by truly enriching the minds of its viewers. Our mission is that everything presented on Elevate Channel will make a lasting positive impact on the consciousness of the viewer.
The path of Elevate Channel is largely undetermined due to the unique and innovative nature of its formula. Our evolution is determined by viewer involvement. As of now all programming will be exclusively comprised of works presented at past Elevate Festivals. Though we have a substantial collection to work with right now, that will eventually run out. Our goal is that submissions from inspired viewers will pick up the slack in providing new and original programming; and eventually become a medium truly ran by and for the people. Elevate Channel's only fuel is Love. All work done to date has been donated simply for love of the game.
We enthusiastically encourage viewer interaction on every level. Every little bit counts; from a single comment or suggestion to volunteered promotional work. It's the sum of contributions that will define Elevate Channel. Let's make it something we can all be proud to be a part of. Now is the time! The revolution has begun!
