About Me

Home Video Of my former Band "Diabolis in Music" un-plugged at the Silver Kingdom Renniassance Faire with the Tiamet Belly Dance troupeThe songs here are some songs that I have put together recently. I play the guitars, drums, recorder, tramborines and bass. I enjoy jamming with different musicians in the area.
In the song Celtic battle I have Dave Irish join me. He is a great local Talent that excels on the Bagpipes. Both of us have recently played a few events SCA in the area and the King Arthur Faire at the Hammond Castle. I truly enjoy the medieval style music. What is a name?
My Former band was called "Diabolis in Musica" this what the Roman Catholic Church called the Medieval tritone, which is a chord made of thirds. Essentially, if you play a C and F together, or play the same melody on two different instruments, one in C and one in F, the sound is slightly odd to our modern musical senses, but it was common in medieval times. See here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tritone
We chose the name Diabolis in Musica, for many reasons. Mostly, though, it's because it's an ancient musical term, used mostly in medieval music, which is what we play. It also sounds cool, and our band members seemed to instantly like it.
