To live afraid is a 12 step suicide

About Me

My name is Paul Parece, and I am the bass player for the Cincinnati based Metal band Pain Link.

I am an old school kind of guy I guess. I believe in helping people in need. I believe in extending common courtesy and respect to people, and I expect it in return. I am a very passionate person. That is both a pro & a con. I am 100% loyal and will fight for a cause until the end. Friends and family are everything to me and I keep them very close. Unfortunately, I hate as easily, and twice as vividly as I love. I can be very warm or bitter cold depending on the situation. I have had people tell me that I am 2 different people. I guess its true.

INTERVIEW

My Interests

Bass guitar, football, anything Metal.

I'd like to meet:

Geezer Butler, Steve Harris, Lemmy, Robert Deniro

Music:

All Metal all the time. I dont get caught up a bunch in only diggin on "cool sub-genres" of metal. I am picky and opionated but to me, its more about being real and true to yourself. I know that sounds pretty cliche, but some shit has become cliche because it is just old accepted truth. I like artists who are 100% into what they do.....and of those, a small percentage are metal geniuses.

Movies:

My favorite movies are: The Godfather I & II, The Deer Hunter, Once Upon A Time In America, Scarface, Raging Bull

Television:

For the most part, TV sucks! Sopranos is the best series of any kind ever to be on free or cable TV. I do also watch shit like Law & Order and CSI when I get a chance. Lately I have been into 48 Hours - Mysteries. That is usually pretty interesting. I never can commit to watching a show every week because I am way too busy to watch TV.

Books:

All crime drama. I have read every mob book that was written between like 1960-2000 both fiction & non. The best book about organized crime that has ever been written is "Donnie Brasco" written by FBI Agent Joseph Pistone. The movie is lame compared to the book.

Heroes:

The people who fight, and die for this country both past & present. I hate the present war we are fighting, but never for a second let it make my support for our troops who have to be there waver in any way
