Reviews:
They know damn well they're using "Horror 101" tactics, but they've managed to make something really interesting with it. In fact, they've done all the right things here. They took an incredibly unoriginal basic premise and just let it ride. Genuinely, if someone ever does a horror movie textbook, this will have to be part of the book. - Film Threat
By virtue of its quality acting, assured direction and a keen sense of self-awareness Dead in the Water over-reaches expectations and turns out to be a surprisingly effective and, against the odds, original horror film. - Nefarious Film Reviews
I really liked where this film took me, and to my surprise, it wasn't at all where I expected to go. Great locales, solid acting, and an engaging script all come together to deliver a solid film that adds as much in new material, as it still pays homage to the source material from which it borrows. - Horror Library
Dead in the Water is a good time, if you're looking for a self-aware horror flick that knows what movies it's shaped by. It's bloody, it's well acted ... I'd recommend you pick up Dead in the Water, it's a solid choice. - JoBlo.com
The zombie FX are very convincing, and Fred Miller's [cinematography] lends the film a more polished look than we usually see in these types of flicks - and that's where the real payoff is. - Film Monthly
A 5-minute sequence from Dead in the Water is available at RPMFilms.com
