River Clark RAW!!! the unedited collection

This is my RAW profile. Dedicated to behind the scenes illuminations and select imagery that have NOT been touched up or computerized. No photoshop was used in the making of these images. They are all straight shots, right out of the camera. With one exception, from time to time I will showcase a photoshopped image included with a description of what and how it was photoshopped. In this digital age of airbrushing and 3d imaging its hard to know what’s real and what isnt. I get a lot of comments about my photoshop skills, and although I do consider myself knowledgeable in photoshop, I pride myself in my minimalistic usage of post processing and my fervent belief in doing it right the first time. Ive always loved the challenge of creating crazy scenes, sets and optical illusions. I spend meticulous hours dreaming of and building sets, perfecting lighting, timing, angles and paying attention to all the little details. If youve shot with me you know that at the end of the day when you get that DVD, you have literally thousands of lovingly crafted FINISHED images!!! Here for your enjoyment are some of my favorites. With that said, I in no means intend to criticize others who use photoshop. I use it to, when necessary (as it often is). I just wish to personally showcase and differentiate. When I go through all the trouble of making something happen in real time, it’s frustrating for people to just assume that it was Photoshopped. Half the fun for me is creating it and seeing it in real life as I’m shooting it. If you have any questions or comments, technical or otherwise, this is the place to post them. If you have any ideas you would like to see created, feel free to post those as well. I’m always willing to collaborate with talented and creative people.

This image of my first shoot with one of my favorite models and best friends Aprella is my first showcase on this page. Not only was this NOT photoshopped, but it was believe it or not, a one shot deal. I literally only had one cup of milk. I timed it out and just went for it and it just simply worked. Allthough I've tried to duplicate this effect many times, it will never quite be as satisfying as this, my first.
This is my newest photoshoot as of yesterday 5-17-07. It wasn't a one shot wonder like the milk shot with aprella. this one took a little over 500 tries to get it just right. but it is just right, if you ask me. Models Ocean and Soojin. Makeup by Courtney Lynch. Assisting with smoke, water and pyrotechnological acrobatics were Erik and Chey. Thank you all for an amazing shoot!

Photography to me is a challenge of rhythm and energy. Knowing how to evoke the desired feeling or sensation and when to capture it at its climax. A photograph is a single moment frozen for all eternity. That moment has the power to be an explosion of energy, of joy, sadness, lust, laughter, desire, hatred, love, agony and ecstasy! Anything powerful ever experienced can be frozen into one single frame and immortalized for all to see. Unlike film or video where you have time, sound, music and movement to convince an audience to feel or to understand; with a photograph you only have that one instant. They either love it or they don't, they either feel it or they pass on by. Great moments pass us all by every day. My job is to not only create, but to capture those moments and to save them for the world to see.
I love photography and have a passion for travel. I love people and love having the ability to make them happy and more confident. I live for adrenaline rushes and sexual tension.
