About Me

Remixes done for Zion Train, Jesus Jones, Baka Beyond etc; writing for Suns of Arqa, and collaborations with some of the bands below e.g. Ozrics, Static, Zion Train, Temple of Sound etc and even good old captain sensible and Simon Hinkler from The Mission. On the African side recorded with e.g. Mamoud Ahmed recent BBC3 World Music Award winner and polishing it off with e.g. Justin Adams of Robert Plant / Strange Sensation and Joie&Ed from Static/Ozrics. Recent new collaborations with Hilaire (Baba Maal) and Juldeh who plays with Justin. Also working slowly! on a famine relief cd compilation with Eat Static Merv with a fusion of sounds from e.g. Robert Plant and Strange Sensation, Banco de Gaia, Temple of Sound, Zion Train etc etc as well as me and MervI have just finished doing Temple of Sound/Transglobal Dubulah's album with him in Ethiopia, we had one track on the BBC's Long Way Down with Ewan McGregor (Realworld) and just finishing my own to be possibly released as EthioSonic on Buddah's Ethiopique series but also looking off own label with arabesque and checking into some others to make the final choice.Live gigs to come this year just finishing off live more jam / reggae / dub / dance / dnb set with Dennis from the Rhythmites on vox/mc with an album there near completed as well. Soon to be playing before some of the bands above and warming up some local slots. I am reviewing gear and producing samples for Future and Computer Music; teaching music tech at e.g. Wiltshire Music Centre and managing youth music/art/social development programmes etc inbetween some live engineering and marketing my own microphones (www.harperdiabate.com) - currently out in many major studios and with known producers and engineers + musicians. And winning awards alongside rave reviews - check them out.All demos on here - to finish - more coming onto www.invisiblesystem.com when I can find a bit of time. Also check out animals and men (think they have 2 myspaces) did a nice live raucous record and mix of some of their tracks (post punk) - they were big in the punk adam antz books and interesting past with rough trade etcAlso check out Inverse Gravity Vehicle - album I have been helping Joie Hinton (Eat Static/Ozrics) to finish off - ready a couple of days after I write this...)
