The Beams

Jam out with your flab out!

About Me

The Beams are a dance-rock band straight out of Cape Town, started by fellow UCT students Amrik Cooper and Bosko Popovac in 2005 through a common love of eighties British rock like The Smiths, Joy Division and The Stone Roses. Scarcely a year later The Beams were fully formed and have been gigging prolifically across Cape Town, setting dance floors alight with punchy guitar, melodic groovesome basslines, piercing synth howls and brutally energetic beats. Its all brought together by frontman Paul who is nothing short of electrifying.
