This is the official myspace page for DJ Mark Holliday.Mark got into the dance music scene in the mid-late 80's clubbing with his old friend and DJ, Dave Seaman.Mark and Dave frequented many clubs including the Warehouse in Leeds and many a DJs favourite club, the Hacienda in Manchester. Then Sasha opened Delight @ Shelley's, Stoke and this is where it all began.He started doing guest spots at small club venues around Leeds and Manchester before he began a DJ residency at Ricky's in his hometown of Leeds. He then landed his first big gig at the Eclipse club in Coventry in 1991 playing alongside Sasha. Mark's name soon got around the club scene and he began doing guest spots at many different venues around the north of England playing along side DJ's such as Grooverider, Nipper & Eric, DJ Welly, John Kelly, Steve Luigi, Tony Ross, Steve Williams, Mike Pickering, CJ Bolland, DJ Sy, Rob Tissera, Ian Ossia, Gary Norman, Utah Saints, Frank de Wulf, Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox and of course Sasha & Seaman.Leeds has always been a true favourite where he played at clubs such as The Warehouse, The Gallery, The Pleasure Rooms, Highflyers, Soak, Kaos, Up Yer Ronson and Ark at university complexes where he played to massive crowds of ravers. Mark also officially opened the Glasshouse in 1996 in Leeds which has become one of the biggest events in the north playing host to the biggest names in the industry from all over the world.Along the way Mark has also played his sets on local Radio stations and has had many a mention on BBC Radio 1. He also guests at big festival events throughout the UK playing his unique style of house that keeps the crowds jumping for more.Mark was host to In Classics We Trust in 2006 at the Mint club,Leeds. He also holds residencies at the Wide Awake Club, Retro Heaven and SOAK playing such venues as Rehab, Leeds & Tall Trees in Yarm, the first of which kicked off at Rehab in May 2007 playing club classics as a resident alongside DJ's such as Graeme Park, Allister Whitehead, Jon Pleased Wimmin, K-Klass, Danny Rampling, Dave Seaman, Ian Ossia, Marshall, Brandon Block, Al Mackenzie, Tony Ross, Paul Murray, Neil Metzner, Andy Ward, Steve Luigi,the mighty Russ Richardson and delicious Dean White!Mark also guests at many house nights around the UK.You can book Mark using the links provided or e-mail him directly through myspace...
