Click here to see a short documentary I shot and edited about my recent trip to Uganda.I am a follower of Christ, a filmmaker (aspiring Director of Photography), and a lover of people, justice, and faith.Besides making films and telling stories through images, I love passionate conversations... whether I am agreeing or debating, or arguing. one of my favorites is the topic of science vs faith. i love dichotomies. i love existing in paradox and all things that represent this truth.i love traveling. i have been in almost every state in the continental United States. Unfortunately, I've only been out of the country twice (besides spending a few hours in both Canada and Mexico): Sydney in 2001 and Uganda in 2007. I like to think that it took over twenty years before I left for the first time, and only six more to leave the second. that means, within the next year, i should be leaving again.

So, since I'm a filmmaker, I guess the pressure is on to come up with some good movies. Well, forget you. I like what I like. Haha. In no particular order: Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects, Dead Poets Society, American Beauty, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Pirates of the Carribean, State and Main, The Incredibles.And then, of course, are the Cinematographers that I love:

Hmm.. I don't read as often as I'd like, but when I do, I like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings (though I've only read about half of the trilogy), The Purpose Driven Life, Good to Great, Plato's Republic

Heroes:

The only hero I have is Jesus Christ. Cliche but true.Okay, so a few real life heroes: Bishop Edward Muhima, Benon, Allen Ahumuza, and everyone else fighting to make a difference in Southern Uganda.
