Misfits (Danzig era) tribute

About Me

HorrorBiz originally formed in '90 and focused on playing cover songs by Misfits, Samhain & Danzig. The lineup at that time consisted of Tim (vocals), Rob (guitar), Jay P. (drums) & Scott L. (bass). Only 2 live shows were performed before the band went it's separate ways sometime around '92. Fast forward to 2001 when Tim got a job working at the same place as Rob. Talk started of re-forming the band although they were not sure how to contact the old members. Then fate happened in the early summer of 2002. Rob forgot his wallet at work and went back one night to get it. While leaving, Jay happened to drive by. He was rehearsing with his band "Federal Yellow" in the same industrial complex that Tim & Rob worked at. Jay phoned Scott's parents to try and locate him. He had moved away and would not be able to join. Jay said that he didn't care if he played drums or bass. This opened up room for someone to fill the vacancy. Our first choice was Scotty Vapid of the legendary Vapids. Scotty jumped at the chance. So we replaced Scott L. (bass) with Scotty V. (drums). This is important because you will notice a pattern forming. This time around, we decided to play tribute to the classic Misfits era. After a few shorts months of jamming we booked our first show for Devil's Night @ Moe's Tavern in Waterdown. Considering that it was a Wednesday night, alot of people showed up and we were well received. We continued practicing and learning new songs and things seemed great. Then in the spring of 2003, Jay disappeared. The hunt was on for a new bass player, but it wouldn't last long. Scotty knew a perfect bass player that we could get right away. Enter JT "the magnet" Rotten of the kick-ass Spoiled Rotten. We replaced Jay P. (bass) with Jay T. (bass) and are now on our 3rd lineup, yet the first names of the band members have never changed. This is extremely rare. After a few months of practicing, Jay made his debut with us Aug. 2 @ The Corktown in Hamilton. Many shows have since followed in Hamilton and London. Plans are to spread our wings and destroy clubs in other cities. We are currently writing our own songs in the classic Misfits/Danzig style.
