Die loud

About Me

Kretch is a four piece from Melbourne. It all started in late 2006 when four foreign lads crawled out from underneath a beer coaster and decided to take their "once I was blind, but now I can't see" attitude to the stage. A year later, inspired by chronic insomnia, endless toilet conversations, breast-feeding mothers, men with hairy backs and ladies with beautiful feet, we exploded our broken English rock 'n' raw onto the Melbourne music scene. Our sound is raw and honest. The meaning of "when shit hits the fan" is way too familiar to us, because we come from a place where the expression came to be. So please forgive us if we don't tell you what you wanna hear. Witnessing our show will either send you into panic-attack frenzy or give you enough confidence to hit on your best friend's woman. However, despite our crude honesty and weird accents, we know way better than to piss on your toilet seat. We do not preach, we are not here to tell right from wrong, but there is one thing that we know better than any other, and that is: "If it ain't loud, it shouldn't be allowed".
Few months ago we entered Atlantis Sound Studio with intent to record 9 tracks. After a graveyard shift (more precisely 23 hours straight), fueled by 196 stubbies of brew, 314 fags and two and a half slices of toasted bread, we ended up putting down 15 tracks. They were recorded, mixed and mastered by Melbourne's most influential underground persona, Dr Loki Lockwood.
Here's more good news, we have recently signed to Spooky Records, a label known to represent only the most honest of Australian rock 'n' raw. The CD, titled "Downfall", will be coming out later this year, and the launch will be taking place at The Old Bar on the 8th of November. So keep your eyes open and your body armour handy, 'cause this one is about to explode.

Danny's outlook on Sydney

I think this gig was the longest we ever played, considering that we have already invaded that place more than few times. It actually started 24 hours before we went on stage. Friday was full of famil...
