Miss White And The Diamonds are a four piece alternative indie/rock band from Melbourne. They embrace a wide-range of influences like The runaways, Eric Clapton, X-Ray Spex, Bikini kill, Joy division, Talking heads and The Pixies. The vigorous all-girl quartet formed mid 2005 in high school, performing at other high schools and local functions then became more serious in 2006 writing more songs of their own and doing gigs around Melbourne. Miss White And The Diamonds have featured on ch 31's Noise Tv & 1700. They have appeared in several local newspapers, won a recording at a 'Freeza' Battle of the bands in 2007 then won the Northern metropolitan regional final in 2008. Their hearty ‘in your face’ stage presence compels even the most dispassionate of audience members to tap their feet and hum along. After hearing the diamonds catchy Indie Punk Rock tunes they usually follow you around the next week recurring in your head, the mix of energetic guitar riffs and savvy rock n roll solos, sonorously abrasive drumming, with catchy melody lines and the charming squeals of three girls creates the unpretentious mischief the girls like to call their music.
