The Groopies

We're the boss, bitch!

About Me

The Groopies are a force to be reckoned with. Hailing from the innards of suburban Ontario, this three piece rock act have everything to offer. Their live shows are jaw dropping. Their stage presence is one of a true rock and roll band. Also, you’re never quite sure what you’re going to hear because they are so flexible and have such a large catalogue of original and cover material. Carried out in their songs, The Groopies pay homage to a wide range of different styles and influences; from Punk and 50’s 60’s & 70’s Rock and Roll, to elements of Country, Reggae, Folk, and Alternative thrown in for good measure. It makes it difficult to pin-point what exact genre the band would fall under. One thing that sets The Groopies apart from the rest of the field is that they do a lot of charity work for different organizations (Sick Kids, World Vision). They are not afraid to give back to the community. There is a constant flow of fundraising and food driving coming out of these hard working guys. Through all the chaos, the band has managed to generate a "buzz" and have a secure fan base. The Groopies have a considerable amount of shows under their belts and are constantly gigging in their hometown of Toronto as well as around Ontario, gaining considerable respect from both fans and other artists for their ability to make everything work. They can only be described as one of a "TRUE ROCK AND ROLL BAND". They will not stop until they have taken over the whole world!
