Sam Lawrence 5

Howdy Y'all!The Sam Lawrence 5 were established sometime in 2000. Singer/bass Glen the Hamilton Kid, guitar Diky Llibakcor, drums The Champion. We play around Hamilton with the occassional foray into Toronto. There has always been one rule, there are no rules. We play Punk, psychobilly, country, anything that we can come up with that sounds good. In Feb.2005 we put out our debut album "Death Throes from the Rust Belt", which was nominated for an HMA Award. We have also played the NXNE Festival and the Toronto Joe Strummer tribute. In Hamilton we host our own Strummer night (every Good Friday, 2007 was our 5th). In September of '06 we released our 2nd cd called "This City is a Fist". Two of the tracks are available on this page. It was nominated for 2 different HMA awards and made it to #3 on the local college chart. Here are a few of the bands we have been privileged to share a stage with: the Vibrators, Robert Gordon, Marky Ramone, D.O.A., Teenage Head, the Forgotten Rebels, the Viletones, the Sadies, the Subhumans (Canada) and the Screaming Black Caddilacs.
