CEO/President , Soldierette's Entertainment - An entertainment management company with a focus on promoting unyielding talent, professionalism, funk-driven performances, and sound business practices. The local bands perform the D.C. area's best Funk, R&B, Jazz, Go-Go, and Alternative styles of music. ( Former )Co-Host/Associate Producer, It's About Time - A local-based, cable television show which showcases all types of local entertainment, i.e., bands/musicians, artists, authors, puppetry, and local businesses. Soldierette!! has a segment entitled "Urban Solja's Report", where she travels with a cameraman and reports on some of the musical groups in the area. Video of live performances and interviews with artists are the main focus, but also in-studio interviews are highlighted.
Panel Member/Speaker, Smithsonian Folklife Festival - As panel member, Soldierette!! shared insight about Washington, D.C.'s own music, GoGo, with visitors from all over the world. more here ...

INTERESTS

    Black Culture expressed on canvas Fashion (kinda' ties in with shopping, see below.) Good Food (I love to eat since I don't gain a pound.) Chocolate ! Music, Music, Music, Music, Music (Can you tell that I love music?) Music: Funk, Jazz, Go-Go, Hip Hop, Reggae, R&B, Rock and a lil' bit of country. Pubs, Clubs and Taverns (must have to do with that butterfly thing, see below.) Shopping, Shopping and more Shopping! (I love pretty things, go figure.) Socializing, being the social butterfly that I am, I love meeting new and interesting people. Sports: Football ( Redskins !), Basketball, gymnastics, aerobics, swimming, pinball & pool. I also love to cook. (This must have to do with that food thing, see above.) Computers are my passion. I've worked on computers since laptops were as big as your monitor.
