Support The Scene and Indie Music!!!!

About Me

I'm an up and coming recording engineer and producer from Cincinnati, Ohio. Whenever I have the time I like to go and videotape local rock shows and help promote the local scene as much as possible. However the most important role for me is being a single father to my ten year old son. It is by far the hardest (but rewarding) responsibility in my life. That's why I give absolute respect to those who are going through the same situation. imdb profile: http://imdb.com/name/nm2025327/

My Interests

Music, going to Rock Shows, Frisbee Golf, Paintballing and Quad running. I also love to go camping and hiking whenever time will allow.

I'd like to meet:

More people involved in the music scene. Get a network of connections going in order to promote and support obscure bands that need the recognition.

Music:

I love to talk about music and/or the music scene in virtually all genres. I have a massive Indie and DIY collection spanning 18 years. Not only that, but I have a huge video collection of local shows available on wmv. If you want to talk about wanting some of these video files. Just contact me on AIM. My screen name is idgf underground. I have a list posted. If you want to see the list so far highlight and copy the link below. Then paste onto your address bar. http://www.neussubjex.net/bored/viewtopic.php?t=26149

Movies:

I truly don't have a particular favorite movie. Right now there are two DVDs I bought that are really interesting. First there's "The Howlin' Wolf story". Howlin' Wolf was an incredible blues artist that has inspired many of the early generations of Rock and Roll (The Rolling Stones for example). The H-Bomb movie (which I was involved with as producer) featured Russell Givens who played with Howlin' Wolf for a short time. The second DVD of interest is "Don't Need You - the herstory of riot grrrl". this a great documentary of feminism within the hardcore and punk scene at the beginning of the 1990's. Bands like Bikini Kill and Bratmobile that turned the tide against the macho steriotype that was typical within the scene at the time. This movie also brings back memories of band I recorded back in the early to mid 90s called "Bloody Discharge".

Television:

I don't have a particular favorite tv show. I despise reality tv shows because I deal with reality everyday. Why watch someone else? I like Scifi and horror shows a lot.

Books:

All Ages (compiled by: Beth Lahickey). Science Fiction Of The 20th Century (an illustrated history by: Frank M. Robinson).

Heroes:

1.)MY SON!!! 2.)MY FAMILY!!! 3.) Other than that I guess my hero would be someone who is not negative and a liar. Someone with a positive perspective. Someone who doesn't constantly shove things from my past back in my face and expect me to be that same person now. I'm constantly trying to stay positive focused.

My Blog

the studio, "A Sordid Story", "Take No Prisoners" and the future.......

Sheesh have I been keeping busy.  Things have been going in a positive direction as of late.  Despite everthing is such a mess and unorganized the studio is finally coming around...
