About Me

The things that are really important to me right now are finishing my second cd with my newly formed band "From Here to Olympus" and my book that I'm blogging from start to finish on myspace. I have a job at a call center where I'm a specialist to pay the bills though. Have finished two terms at Cincinnati State toward an English degree. Spent four years in the Navy on the USS OGDEN in San Diego as a Yeomen (Basically a secretary, which is awesome cause I got medals for typing :). Before I joined the Navy I was homeless for six months. After that I left as an E5 and now I'm doing awesome. I was in a band called Next to Last, I play open mic night on Tuesday sometimes at "Lattitudes" in Old Milford, Oh. The stuff I play is mostly of the rock genre. I'm 25, 6' 184. I have three tattoos all of huge multi-colored asian dragons; one goes from the middle of my right bicep to the middle of my chest, another goes from my left bicep to the middle of my chest, and the last one pretty much covers my entire left calf. I had the lead role in a film called Down, Out, and Away but I'm not sure if it's ever coming out or if I'm just impatient. I'm a bit of an art nerd if you couldn't tell...

The Return of an Old Friend

To my dismay, as soon as I begin running again I am suddenly returned to the prior instability I had experienced upon waking from oblivion.  The storm picks back up with the same ferocity as...

Present meets the Past

As I reach the present day area we once spent so much of our summertime with, I feel as if I've reached my destination.  At first I'm shocked, then I'm floored by the site ahead of me.  Righ...

Trailing Memory

Except once my knees connect with the ground, the darkness of oblivion never comes.  Not only that, but my exhaustion is lifted without adrenaline or panic and the only reason I still look upon b...

Coming to Going to Far

Though still unsure of the exact time, I think it was around ten o'clock at night.  I distinctly remember now, standing there in the Sheriff's house trying to flesh out the price of some LSD I wa...

Out of Oblivion...Mike Awoke

"We are reality trying to explain itself." - An old drunken bum still somewhere on the streets of Cincinnati begging for change   As if awakening from a long sleep, I open my eyes.  I...

Creation Science, debunked?

Why did something have to create us but not God? This is a question that has often bothered me since coming across the "Creation Science" theory. As far as I can tell the "theory" is based off th...

Pascal’s Wager. A losing Gamble? (Warning this is serious)

More often than not, when I am presented with an argument from the opposite side for why I should believe in God, this 16th Century Christian Apologetics's argument, or elements very similar to it's p...

Man I can't believe you opened this...you are like...so naughty.  You're like a catholic priest stuck in a confessional with a twelve year old school boy who calls him "father" giving him the "s...
