About Me

CasaNegra is a exciting new producer of Latin films on DVD. Based in Chicago, IL CasaNegra is the first company to digitally remaster and restore legendary films from Mexico.

CasaNegra's initial DVD offerings include beautifully restored classic horror films from Mexico produced by ABSA studio. ABSA was founded by actor Abel Salazar and Alfredo Ripstein hijo. Between 1957 and 1963 they would produce many horror films including the classic masterpeices Misterios de ultratumba, El Espejo de la Bruja and El Vampiro.
