Maria Entraigues "Maria Maria"

I was born in beautiful Buenos Aires, Argentina. I sing, songwrite, act, dance and fly airplanes. I'm half Italian, half Spanish, like most people from Buenos Aires. I came to the US for the first time after granted with a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. The plan was not to stay in the US but here I am after 16 years. Now I live in Los Angeles, while being here I wrote and performed as a soloist singer for several feature films like "Rush Hour 2" (with Jackie Chan), "After the Sunset" (with Pierce Brosnan), "The Magnificent Ambersons" (with Madeleine Stowe), "Picking up the Pieces" (with Woody Allen), "Diamond Hunters" (with Alyssa Milano), "A Walk in the Clouds" (with Keanu Reeves), the latest one was "Zapata" (with Alejandro Fernandez). Thanks to this project I was recognized with the ASCAP award after having a song 19 weeks on the Billboard charts, the song was performed by Latin star Alejandro Fernndez and co-written by Ruy Folguera and Facundo Monty. Also as "Maria Maria" I've recorded a song for the soundtrack of this movie put out by Sony Music, some of the other artists in it are Gloria Estefan, Sin Bandera, Alejandro Fernandez, Reyli Barba, Ana Gabriel, etc. I also work as a live and studio singer, I've sung for renowned international artists like Perry Ferrell (Janes Addiction), David Foster, Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Lalo Schifrin, Ricky Martin, Colin Hay (Men at Work), Andrea Bocelli, Ricky Martin, Cecilia Noel and The Wild Clams, Jean-Michel Byron (Toto), Alejandro Sanz, Alejandro Lerner, Maurice Jarre, Ruy Folguera, Ricardo Montaner, Cristian Castro, etc. Currently I'm rehearsing for an important role in the movie "Dare to Love Me", starred by Lindsay Lohan and Raoul Bova. This movie tells the life of famous tango singer Carlos Gardel and is directed by world acclaimed director Alfonso Arau. I'll be singing traditional tango, dancing and acting in it!
