The Bee’s Knees have been knocking together since 2004, performing their own modern take on classic 1920’s dances at a wide variety of venues and events across the UK, including:
FESTIVALS: Edinburgh Fringe, Brighton Festival (La Clique/speigel tent), Glastonbury, Camden Summer Dance Festival (The Place) and The Electric Picnic.
CABARET CLUBS: The Komedia (Brighton), The Tassel Club, Volupte, Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, The Coronet, and The Pigalle Club.
CORPORATE BOOKINGS AND PRIVATE PARTIES: Claridges, The Metropoliton Hotel, Sheffield City Halls’ Art Deco ballroom and the ICA prohibition party.

The Bees Knees are also Jet Powered disc kittens! Specialising in swingin’ tunes from the Golden Age of Dance, Spanning the Naughty Twenties to Roaring Noughties!

Aila Baila is an experienced physical performer. One half of the established Cabaret and street theatre company Swizzleshaker (Arts Council Funded spring 2005) who have performed their unique Vaudeville shows all over the UK including, The circus space cabaret, Manchester’s garden of delights and The National Theatre. She also has a flamenco troupe Aire Flamenco.
Barroness JoJo is an accomplished swing dancer and teacher. With film titles such as Vera Drake (Mike Leigh) and Picadilly Jim (Robert Altman) to her name as well as BBC series Blackpool and other large retro events at Goodwood racetrack, Glastonbury festival and The Thames Festival.
