About Me

Myspace Backgrounds the track on this page is entitled 'a wiltshire griot's ode to the faeriest queene pt1' - i know it's a bit of a mouthful. it is an extemporisation and accumulation of the keyboard work i was doing whilst living in wiltshire. it wasn't so much composed as played and 'gel'd' within a moment of recording. it has been played on bbc radio 3 and certain other rural english stations. described as part of a musical tryptich, it is soon to be released as THE GRIOT EP and will, also be featured on the forthcoming kinkywitch/DJSilencer! album entitled DIABOLUS EN MUSICA - avalonbabylon recordings - all rights reserved.with regard to the images pasted onto this page. you are welcome to copy them and use them as long as you give them the same title and credit the copyright as; copyright GK/HN (year) - NB except for the tantric image, which is a taster of the CGI movie of the kama sutra that i am currently making.RE; the standalone player. if you wish to listen to the keith jarrett track - and i heartily recommend that you do, for it is an excerpt from his classic albulm 'the koln concert' and is a glorious example of an extemporised performance - then you should press pause and wait for the whole track to load. this will take many, many minutes but, believe me, it is worth it.Contact Tables

My Interests

Get Code | Create Your Own!life, love, the universe, wine, food, movies, dinner parties, theatre-going, football, music, dance, novels and autobiographies, tantra, iyengar yoga, samurai swordsmanship, flirting, clare's blogs, vikki's smile, getting muddy on long walks and then lighting a fire and drinking whiskey, falling in love, being in love, arguing and making up again.....slowly, sharing music, going to galleries and arguing about art only to find that the discussion is a thinly veilled disguise for wanting to get into each others knickers, wine - esp barollo and chateau lafitte, chateau neuf du pape, and bollinger, vodka from the freezer, tequila slammers, women with accents, wearing my kilt when it snows, and being attacked by builders for 'looking noncey in that skirt'............there's nothing like going native! primarily interested in anything new and stimulating - as long as it isn't fascistic, hierarchical or inherently class-based. see.............i am a soul born in the london parish of friern barnet. my passion is to realise feature-film projects, short film-art, documentaries about music and/or musicians, music videos and epk's. i intend, with the 1000 friends on my network, to colaborate with, provide creative umbrage for, and to produce product. my working method and modus operandi are to ensure that union minimum rates are paid to all participants, with key participants to share points in lieu of commercial salaries. this is not just a financial decision, but is a design for nurturing a combined ensemble framework within which the ambition for the projects' success is shared, thus discouraging a jobbing attitude by freelance hands.i encourage all future collaborators to familiarise themselves with industry procedures, professional associations, the fundamentals of media-industry legalities, union protocols, and to seek representation for contractual purposes and situations.the opportunity that this myspace phenomenon has created, both as a realisaion of the fact that there is no shortage of talent and endeavour in this global internet village, and that the force of human expression is alive and kicking, empowers my focus and re-affirms my belief and faith in the regenerative nature of collaborative creativity. peter sellars - the opera director - once described opera production as 'the perfect society in microcosm.........for 2 1/2 - 3hours, the skills of 500 different individuals; from stagehands to performers, musicians to accountants, costume designers to directors and producers, are harnessed together to create something beautiful, magical, enlightening, entertaining.'i feel the same way about film.the sword of damocles regarding the necessity to create dramatic narratives without adversely affecting psyches and dysfunctioning levels of cognition by way of the reception of traumatic experiences and situations as proto-first/secondhand/witness-absorbation, hangs, i would contend, over every attempt to entertain in a commercial environment.bob geldof took part in an initiative last week entitled cinema for peace. this notion appealed to me greatly. not as a didactic statement regarding themes and characterisations, but as a high-concept, incisive grasp of the alchemical and transcendal power to heal that cinema, as an art-form, can be. there is so much mind-pollution out there. and through the refined application of thought, of quality-time, of action, re-assessment and continued development, creatives like us can be an integer in the algebraic constructs that encourage high-level creative consciousness.those who have experienced the fresh, tangible summer-breeze vitality of, say, a french new-wave film of the early 1960's, will instinctively respond. those who have been moved to the empathetic response to a character displaying human vulnerablility, struggle, naivity, charm, a poetic movement, a prosaic gesture will, similarly, be uplifted. if not a manifesto be required, perhaps an artistic statement of intent. to - as often as possible - create vivid eternal moments that enourish soul, spirit, mind and heart and that portray human exchange and interplay at precious levels of regenerative process.guns, crime, physical and psychological violence, fear-fetishism, all the things we conspicuously avoid when we operate at higher states of consciousness, we seem, willingly and open-eyed, to allow into our living rooms through tv, our bedrooms through web connections, whilst we prepare nutrition for our loved-ones. within the environments we inhabit and like to call home, we seem to open in-doors to and out-windows onto scenarios, emotional landscapes, psychological territories which alarm, undermine subliminally and erode confidences. when someone opens one of my gift-wrapped boxes, i wish for the experience to be, for them, one of delight, joy, thoughtful entertainment, an experience which nourishes and assists them along their personal trajectories to be continually satisfied with, and at, life and the art of the living of it.the lovely faces, the fine creations, the highly-evolved nature of their human creative endeavour are inspiring. to make a film which impacts on collective-conscious/unconscious critical mass positively, and elevates the experience of living to hitherto unknown or forgotten plateaux is a noble aim and i sense the achievement of it is within organised reach. i call upon similarly like-minded kindreds to make a personal commitment towards a collaborative ethos and to time-manage the inclusion of it within their daily routine. forty-minutes per day scheduled for focused collaboration with someone - if only as an exercise in developing a sustainable interpersonal-skill efficiency level, which garners professional industry-respect for the process and finished product you attach your name and application to. people can organise wars and conflicts to extreme levels of efficiency and they say it takes fewer muscles to smile than to frown, so can it not, proportionately, be easier to create a beatitude than to create an apocalypse?the title 'the year of magical thinking' similarly inspires. to find, translate, portray, include the concept of a magicality into our daily lives, routines and chores is at a convergent axis to the trajectory of personal commitment (to a collaborative process). let our flourishes be bold, our intent courageous, let our natural follies humour us, let our nascent intellects be stimulated. let the human spirit predominate in majestic tribute to all constructs which have the motivating forces of love, harmony, compassion, evolution - at the heart of their intention. let our controlled channeling of elemental energies be rewarded by the succesful evocation of enobling spirits.zjhil-bairre xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Get Code | Create Your Own!YOU - especially if you ..either have mega-bucks to invest in feature films or if you are interested in becoming a life-partner with half a dozen children, the country pile, the media career, the adjacent film studio, recording studio, helicopter landing pad, the garage with the aston martin, the V8 landie and the quad bikes. perhaps your sights are a little lower, in which case, a good kisser, a slow, longing lover and a pretty face count for a lot.........otherwise its time to be cerebral and we'll have to converse about time-flux continuums, space/time gates, mathematical formulae and matrices, the dna structures of mammals versus plants..............snore..........art versus welfare(?) OK, i'll explain. premis; art is merely welfare for the upper-middle classes. (as well as an opiate for the masses).actually, anyone who is natural, kind but not weak, adventurous and bursting with sexual energy will get a look into my private life.
